Overview of the events of 7th July 2005.

Was 7/7 a self inflicted wound? You decide.

- Initial train operating company reports on the day announced that the devastation on the underground was the result of a power surge, although this was denied by the National Grid. This continued to be the story until the explosion on the number 30 bus in Tavistock Square (9:47am).

- Tony Blair (three days later), Charles Clarke (December 15th), and John Reid refused calls for a public enquiry. The government to this day still refuses to give into public pressure for a full and open public enquiry.

- The government enquiry offered nothing more than a 'narrative' of the events. No evidence has been released to support the official story.

- The number 30 bus was the only bus to be diverted from its usual route by police and directed to Tavistock Square. The bus was held at this location until the bomb was detonated.

- A firm called Visor Consultancy ran a simultaneous drill on the exact day, at the exact same time, and at the exact same train stations as when the real event occurred.

"At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing upright!"
(Peter Power, Managing Director of Disaster and Crisis Management firm, Visor Consultants, interviewed by Radio 5 Live's Drivetime programme on the afternoon of 7/7.)

Peter Power is a retired anti-terrorist police officer who retains close links to Scotland Yard. Neither Peter Power or any other of the over 1000 staff working for Visor Consultancy have been questioned in connection with the events of 7/7.

- Visor Consultancy had been involved in terror drills in London before. In 2003, 'London Resilience' consortium of transport and emergency service organisations ran the 'Atlantic Blue' exercise, which involved dummy bombs on tubes. Further exercises had followed, and reports stated that another larger British/American drill was planned for 2005.

- Haroon Rashid Aswat was linked to the attacks as a possible mastermind. These allegations were later played down by the media when John Loftus, a terrorism expert, revealed on fox news that Aswat was an MI6 asset.

- The bombers bought return train tickets on the day, along with 'pay and display' tickets for their cars at Luton station. Shehzad Tanweer had just spent a large amount of money on car repairs. He was caught on CCTV arguing with a cashier over change at a petrol station shortly before the attacks. He had also played a leisurely game of cricket the night before the attack.

- The media made a great deal about a trip two of the men took to Pakistan, saying they had spent time at a questionable centre near Lahore. This allegation now appears to be untrue. It appears that the men had merely visited their ancestral homeland (common among Pakistanis), and spent most of their time with relatives.

- Friends and relatives of the supposed 'bombers' spoke of how non-political and westernised the men were. Tanweer's friends told of how he wore his baseball cap to the Mosque. Others spoke of how compassionate and highly regarded Sidique Khan was in his local community. The classic MO for suicide bombers does not fit the description and behaviour of the four men.

- British and European sources reported that the explosives used were of 'military origin', or at least technically advanced. However, after the police raids at a flat in Burnley (Leeds), the police insisted the bombs were 'homemade.'

- Israel's finance minister, Binyamin Netanyahu was warned to stay clear of Liverpool Street station, close to one of the explosions. The Israeli Embassy claimed the warning came from Scotland Yard.

- Witnesses and survivors spoke of the damage to the floor of the trains suggesting that the bombs had been underneath. Bruce Lait, a passenger on the Aldgate train said:

"The policeman said, "Mind that hole, that's where the bomb was". The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train. They seem to think the bomb was left in a bag, but I don't remember anybody being where the bomb was, or any bag"
(Cambridge News).

Guardian Journalist Mark Honingsbaum also recorded several witnesses speaking of explosions coming from under the train. Witnesses spoke of the trains being torn up and tiles flying upwards.

- Mayor Guiliani just so happened to be in London on 7/7, in fact he stayed at the exact same hotel as Binyamin Netanyahu. Guiliani's business partner has links to Peter Power. Head of London Transport, American Bob Kiley, is a member of Council on Foreign Relations and was once high up in the CIA.

- No CCTV footage has ever been shown of any of the men at Kings Cross, Thameslink, Mainline, or Underground stations. No CCTV footage has been shown of any of the men getting on at any of the relevant bus or train stations.

- The one existing still photo from Luton station is of extremely poor quality, and many have labelled it as a fake or at least digitally manipulated. Yet the pictures from the alleged 'dummy run' of June 28th and the alleged failed bombings of July 21st are sharp, detailed and numerous.

- Hussain was not caught on the bus CCTV camera that day, as it had apparently malfunctioned! Yet a Stagecoach employee insisted that:

"CCTV gets maintained at least two or three times a week and can digitally store up to two whole weeks worth of footage. This is done by a private contractor - So when I heard that the CCTV wasn't working on a vehicle that's no more than two years old since last June...I'm sorry that's rubbish, I work for the company I know different."

- The one witness who claims to have seen the 'bus bomber' that day is adamant that it was not Hasib Hussain.

- At a stage when only one or two of the bomb victims had been identified, the identity of three out of the four 'bombers' had already been established. Initially it was claimed that this information came from Credit card details and wallets that had somehow survived the blast, although it was later admitted that one of the 'bombers' IDs had been left in two separate locations.

- Due to the train disruptions and cancellations on the day, the official timings of the 'bombers' movements and activities on the trains has been thrown into serious doubt.
